Stephanie started playing the flute in 4th grade, started playing saxophone in JHS and started tuba and trombone in HS. She played flute and tuba all the way through college, graduating with a Masters in Music Education. As of 2023, she has been teaching music for 31 years, including band/choir, and general music. She is a National board certified teacher- twice. She has training through Master Level in Orff Schulwerk- an approach to teaching general music. She currently teaches K-6 music at Carson Elementary School in Puyallup. She runs a flute choir seasonally and is a member of the Cascade Recorder Society.
She enjoys the beach, crocheting, making jewelry, and spending time with her husband Bill and her fur babies.
